At Jaguar Northfield, we always strive to make sure our customers are informed on most relevant information regarding Jaguar models. From deals on new car parts to specials on favored models like the 2020 Jaguar F-PACE, we do everything we can to make sure you’re informed. Today, however, we’d like to share some little-known information about Jaguar as a bit of fun. Enjoy.

1.    All Jaguar models are part emu.

Yes, truly. It turns out that emu feathers, when turned into dust and ionized, can hold an electrostatic charge, which makes them invaluable in the few feet from the production line to the paint room, because they ensure that no dust gets between the bare metal of your Jaguar and the paint that is to be applied.

2.    Jaguar endurance tests are legendary.

The current land speed record for a production car is held by the Bugatti Chiron, a car capable of traveling up to 300 mph. To Jaguar engineers, that must sound very cute. To ensure a ride free of noise, vibration, and harshness, every vehicle is tested for it at speeds of up to 766 mph – enough to break the sound barrier.

Jaguar also has similar standards for ensuring your vehicle will start in the extreme cold – first, the vehicle is left in a -40°F freezer for 12 hours, then subjected to a wind tunnel with a treadmill of sorts that drives it at 90 mph while flinging freezing water and zero-degree blasts of wind.

3.    Jaguar’s valets take their jobs very seriously.

When a new Jaguar needs to be driven from the factory to a loading point, a Jaguar valet takes it there. These dedicated individuals do not wear belts, buckles, don’t wear shoes with metal eyelets, or anything else that could prematurely damage the interior of the vehicle. They also don’t touch the exterior of the car – just an industrial-grade car cover.

When we speak about our commitment to quality, we mean it. Jaguar Northfield will always be a proud seller of these exquisite vehicles, and we thank you for trust in our brand.
