Here at Jaguar Northfield, we sell some sporty cars that deliver a thrilling driving experience. Sometimes though, the Jaguar brand does some experimenting and builds a vehicle that places an even bigger emphasis on performance than the typical Jaguar model. One of those vehicles is the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, which was recently spotted outside of a test track for the first time.
This new Jaguar car is based on the 2018 Jaguar XE, but it has received a few updates that make it even more thrilling to drive. It’s technically a “sports sedan,” and it stands out among its competition with some significant performance tweaks and other upgrades. It’s been spotted on the Nurburgring before, but its outing in a small Italian town marks the first time it’s been spotted in the outside world.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that puts out nearly 600 horsepower. That means it can hit 60 miles per hour in a mere 3.3 seconds. It also has a max speed of 200 miles per hour.
Of course, all that power comes along with some other updates that make the Jaguar XE even sportier than before. The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 comes with a new suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and a lower ride height. You’ll also notice new aesthetic touches, like gloss carbon fiber trim and a premium leather-wrapped steering wheel. If you’re searching for a model that really puts the “sports” in sports sedan, you’ll want to keep an eye on this upcoming model.
