What stands out in their review is how well this all-new model retains its Jaguar pedigree. “Jaguar’s first electric car is attractively styled and boasts the company’s hallmark handling capabilities that go together well with a potent electric powertrain,” says the article, which sums up its findings rather succinctly with the heading “Traditional Jag values, truly modern powertrain.”
So just what can drivers expect from this eccentric electric SUV? The 90kWh battery delivers a manufacturer’s estimated range of up to 240 miles on a single charge. When it comes to charging, drivers have the option of using either AC or DC power for added convenience. Speaking of convenience, the battery can be charged from 0 percent to 80 percent in only 40 minutes using a 100kW public fast charger. And just what kind of power does this battery provide? Enough to propel the 2019 Jaguar I-PACE from 0 – 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. It’s nice to know you can still smoke the competition, even in an electric SUV.
