There are a few challenges to overcome with turning such a powerhouse into an electric vehicle, however. Batteries that power the car are much heavier than gasoline, so some engineering compromises might be necessary, such as using lighter materials for the body like aluminum or carbon fiber.
Even if we don’t end up seeing a fully electric Jaguar F-TYPE, it’s clear that Jaguar has been leaning toward a more alternate-fueled area for quite a while now. This means we could see a hybrid or plug-in hybrid F-TYPE down the road at some point. The future is exciting; the future is electric.
