Planning to get that somebody special in your life a new sports car for Christmas? Or maybe you just want one for yourself? Check out how the new Jaguar F-TYPE matches up with the Toyota Supra:

Power

Even the base Jaguar F-TYPE has loads of power, as it comes with a 296-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine. There are also two other engine options with this sports coupe: a 380-horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and a 575-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8.

The base engine in the Toyota Supra is a 255-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. The only other engine choice is a 382-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder.

Tech

There are many standard tech features in the Jaguar F-TYPE. These include:

  • Remote keyless entry
  • Push-button start
  • Apple CarPlay™
  • Android Auto™
  • A 10-speaker Meridian sound system
  • Satellite and HD radio
  • A 10-inch touchscreen
  • Bluetooth®
  • A USB port

Proximity keyless entry, a power liftgate, and a 12-speaker stereo are also available. The Toyota Supra has some of the same tech features, but if you want Apple CarPlay™, touchscreen capability, or anything larger than a 4-speaker stereo, you will need to upgrade.

Safety

The Jaguar F-TYPE is designed to help keep you safe. Every model comes with:

  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Forward collision warning
  • Lane keep assist
  • A rearview camera
  • Driver drowsiness monitoring
  • Traffic sign recognition

Available features include rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and hands-free parallel park assist. Driver drowsiness monitoring and traffic sign recognition aren’t available with the Toyota Supra, and front and rear parking sensors require an upgrade.
